We strive to provide you everything that you might want to know about restaurants & joints that serve Halal food. From the smallest joint to the most lavish of restaurant in your city, we provide you all the information you might need to locate a good Halal Food Restaurant: menus, reviews, ratings, contacts, services etc

We believe in taking challenges head-on. We saw a problem and took the initiative to find a solution. We are a group of driven, motivated professionals, a dynamic four-some with a collective industry experience of around 35 years. We believe that the problem of a large population searching for joints serving Halal food should be taken care of. We believed it was about time and instead of waiting for somebody else to do it, we took the onus and came forward. If somebody has to do it then why not us !!

Most people who prefer Halal Food fear to venture out and try new places as they prefer to go to their better understood outlets which they have known for years to serve Halal food. We bring a platform for foodies wanting to explore but not sure if they know all the right places serving Halal.

Is it easy, no it is a mammoth task to undertake in terms of identifying the restaurants and more importantly verifying their source so that you can comfortably go there and enjoy without having any second thought; and making it available, searchable and ofcourse Free !!. 

We make a conscious effort to personally verify the source of meat being supplied at the restaurants and get the requisite confirmation from their respective owners and details of their suppliers before we list any restaurant as the one serving halal food or more specifically food prepared from Meat slaughtered in a Halal way.

A Disclaimer: When we say that a joint is a Halal Joint then we always refer to the information that the meat being used there was slaughtered in a Halal manner. [We donot comment or undertake the responsibility of that joint in other matters of being Halal as prescribed under the Shari'ah laws of Islam.]

Being Ideatic !!

An idea, an idea, a kingdom for an idea.

          In the winters of Delhi, sitting on the comfort of my sofa, at 2.30 AM I make myself feel at ease with the idea of making a blog or a website, that caters to the niche segment of restaurants serving Halal food.

Will this work ?,  would people like it ? I don't know.

Will this be of any use or benefit. Yes of course. If it is going to be of some use to me then why not to others.

Well these were some of the questions that I had been asking myself lately and debating over and over again when this !dea first hit me. Google for good sites on restaurants and eating joints, you will find some of the best sites that you can traverse through. But I had a pain point. Being a person who can only eat Halal food or when we talk in terms of meat then that meat only which is slaughtered in a Halal way, Whenever I visited a restaurant I had to ask the waiters or managers of restaurant ..'bhai ye aapke yahan chicken/mutton Halal hai na?' and most often than not I used to get an answer ..' haan saab hamare yahan Halal hi hota hai', 'confirmed halal', '..are hamare yahan ke supplier wo Khan saab hain..aap fiqar na kiye..Halal hai', '..manager se pooch ke aata hoon'. '..pata nahi saab..waise sab khate hain aap bhi kha liye kharab nahi milega hamare yahan'...blah blah blah

many a times my colleagues would ask me to determine the venue..'bhai tu hi decide kar kahan jana hai..acha nahi lagta hum boti todein aur tum paneer pe guzara karo :) ', but i used to say ..' yaar tum hi dekh lo jahan jana ho mujhe nahi pata..kuch bhi kha lunga..i don’t have a problem'

oh boy !,  for a non-vegetarian like me and who loves to explore food specially various varieties and dishes of the chicken and mutton, it was painful to eat paneer and smile at the same time on some greedy morons poking a fun at me with their drums-of-heaven

Well, on this chilly night, reflecting back on all of that agony and feeling the pain of scores of the likes of me, I decide to go ahead with this idea of having a website which would list all restaurants that serve Halal Food specifically meat slaughtered in a Halal way.

Was this going to be easy, no a mammoth task lies ahead of me identifying and providing the right information and making it easily available and searchable and ofcourse Free !! both for the restaurant owners and the end users.

I started looking for some like minded individuals and got 3 of my friends to partner with me and make this project successful. Another of my friend offered his services to develop our technology solution at a bargain price.

Tons of thanks to my partners, who believed in what I believed and came together with loads of passion.

Lo and Behold, HJI is shaping up and becoming ready to serve and become useful.

What future lies ahead, only time will tell. But we would do our best to provide a solution to scores of individuals who hesitate to try out new joints and places just because they don't know where to find a restaurant that serves Halal food.
